Principal's Message

It’s a joy to be Principal at Karshner Elementary!

I come to you with fifteen years of experience as a principal as well as experience as an elementary teacher, teaching bilingually in English and Spanish. I love working with students, their families and our school staff and look forward to an amazing year together.

This year brings excitement and laughter to our school with the addition of new playground equipment. The students love it!

We also have a new social emotional curriculum, called Character Strong, and it incorporates many games and community building activities.

Students at Karshner learn to create, connect, collaborate and communicate. They enjoy music and physical education as well as recess time outside each day and lunches in their classroom with their teachers.

We are excited to continue to grow and refine our Spanish-Dual Language Program, as well as our English-focused classrooms.

In all classrooms, we focus on grade level academic achievement and sociocultural competence. In our dual language classrooms, we add bilingualism and biliteracy to our goals and ensure academic achievement in both languages in all subject areas.

I’m honored to serve this community and excited for all we will accomplish together in the coming school year.
